What floor are you on?
I'm on the 3rd floor...so I can't reach the vent opening myself...there's a tree right across from the vent opening...I'm thinking the mgmt guy is mighty sick of me..but not sick enough to do things when I mention it the first time.....he will learn.
Ah, so you can't even McGyver up something to fix it yourself - not unless you've got super, duper long arms - go, go Gadget arms??
